I hope you all enjoyed the trip today. When I got home I had a headache because I ate too much chocolate while I was there! Some of you mentioned that you didn't buy anything today, but you want to. There is a Lake Champlain Chocolate store on Church Street that sells basically the same things that were in the factory store today.
Next week our focus will shift from the fun tourist trips to a more serious topic. We will be looking at homelessness in Vermont and impact that our economy has on this issue.

Next Class
Hi everyone!
Thanks for all the great introductions on your blogs today! Don't forget to read some of your classmates blogs and post some comments on them as well!.
On Thursday we are going to Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory to have a tour, try some delicious chocolates and do some shopping. Don't forget to bring some money as this is a great opportunity to buy some gifts for your family and friends back home.

Welcome to Saint Michael's College! We are so excited to have you here this summer.
As you already know Discover Vermont is a class where you will visit a few places in the Burlington area to get to know about life here in Vermont. We will also do some research to supplement our trips.
I have been teaching at Saint Mike's since 2005. I mostly teach in the summer, but occasionally I will teach during the spring or fall. I also teach English as a Second Language in the public schools during our regular school year.
I have been married since 2006 and I have 2 daughters (Gianna is 5 and Lilianna is 2). You will get to meet them during coffee hours and on one of our trips.
Vermont is very special to me because although I grew up in New Jersey, my family has been vacationing here for years. I have lived in Vermont since 2003 when I began my Master's Degree here at Saint Mike's. I have also lived in Arizona, New Hampshire and Ecuador.
I look forward to getting to know you all better!
